Once again Mina Carter does not disappoint! Her PPA books are LOVE worthy!

Once again Mina Carter does not disappoint! Her writing gives enough development to the story to keep you enthralled. I absolutely loved Raterrenh, he is such a great character. I know that the PPA stories usually focus on a quick read, giving as much heat as possible... but I really hope that there is more about round 2, and all the consequences they must face the morning after! Pick this one up, it is hot and steamy,with an over the top Alpha male who can't control he desire and need for his dragon queen!

I've finally had enough of the short and smutty

Mina Carter has been writing a lot of short smutty stuff lately. I enjoyed it when it was an occasional nibble, but now it feels like every meal is junk food meal.
I really want one of her well developed longer novels to sink my teeth into again. Their quality is vastly superior.
This is probobly the last 'bite' I'll have of the junk food.
I liked the world and the characters seemed to have potential that has no room to develop in this length of a story. It seems a waste.

I have been waiting for his story for so long and Mina Carter did not let me down. The tension and passion of these two is beyond hot. I knew my Rat had a heart and I can't wait to see if there is more to this story. Would recommend this story to anyone that needs some fire in their reading.

Definitely one of the toughest things you can do is have to seperate and get a divorce from someone you thought was the one! And even harder can be moving on after. Often the whole experience is filled with negativity, but you have to turn the other way! Thats why I like the stand point that this book reads from, it looks at the big picture and getting over the fact of the divorce without trying to blame anyone or hurt anyone!
If you have had to go through divorce and even if you think you are okay, you should at least check out the book and skim thorugh it. The ideas are universal and can be multi-applied wherever necessary!

Marriage is a matter or principle. Inevitably, a 'third party' will come to both partners' lives and it's up to them to act ON it or act AGAINST it. Though infidelity isn't what's the prime reason for a divorce, compatiblity on other aspects is also one out of the many. The author couldn't be more true when a partner becomes too afraid of the unfamiliar, this could work FOR the "family" but could work AGAINST the suffering partner. The guidelined were crystal clear. It's a good read for people who want to get themselves up from the slump.

Great Book

I bought this book for a friend of mine who was having a difficult time going through her divorce. Part of the pain came from the fact that her husband left her but I was hoping it would be a help in a very difficult time in her life. I am glad to report that she did say that it has helped her to focus on other areas of her life and has given her a new purpose. It doesn't mean that she isn't sad sometimes but she wants to move on and be positive and the book has helped her with that.

About the Author
Angus Deaton is Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of Economics and International Affairs in the Department of Economics and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He is the author of many books, including The Great Escape: Health, Wealth, and the Origins of Inequality (2013). In 2015, he was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the analysis of consumption, poverty and welfare.

John Muellbauer is Senior Research Fellow of Nuffield College, Professor of Economics and Senior Fellow of the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford. He is a CEPR Research Fellow and a Fellow of the British Academy, the Econometric Society and the European Economic Association. In addition to his many academic affiliations, he has also been a consultant to the Bank of England, HM Treasury and the UK Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

Still a great textbook

It is true that this book is now a bit dated. However, first, much of the foundations of microeconomic theory has not changed since the 80s and, second, this book contains a great deal that more "modern" micro textbooks (such as Mas-Colell, Whinston, and Green MWG) do not even mention. In particular, if your interest lies mostly in APPLIED work, this book is, in my opinion, superior to MWG. The chapters on demand are superb, and not surprisingly you still see them cited in hundreds of recent papers. I stress the fact that here you will not only learn about the building blocks of consumer theory, but you will also see actual APPLICATIONS of the estimation of demand systems (including the now famous Almost Ideal Demand System "invented" by the authors themselves). This textbook is invaluable for those who want to have a rigorous primer on demand, and demand estimation. Also excellent are the treatment of non-linear budget constraints, and price indexes. The book is also VERY well written, and intuition is almost always provided. On the minus side, game theory and contract theory are not covered at all, but these are topics that are covered well in many other books (including MWG).

The book's emphasis on duality. Book also shows the almost linear demand system model (AIDS) authoring authors. For those who
search a book of applied microeconomics, this is a good indication.

Even if somewhat dated, this text still gives a clear and pertinent exposition of consumer behaviour theory. It is an unavoidable introduction to further literature on the topic, such as Deaton's work.

About the Author

Kevin T. Pickering is Professor of Sedimentology & Stratigraphy in the Department of Earth Sciences at University College London, U.K. He has published ~140 peer-reviewed papers, co-authored 6 books and edited 3 books on aspects of deep-water sediments and global environmental issues. He managed the industry-sponsored Ainsa Project, an integrated outcrop-subsurface drilling project to understand deep-marine channels in the Spanish Pyrenees, and has sailed on four international scientific drilling expeditions (DSDP, ODP, IODP). In 2010, in recognition of his research, Pickering was elected as a Fellow of the Geological Society of America.

Richard N. Hiscott is an Emeritus Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. His 40 years of process-oriented research covers ancient deep-sea to alluvial facies of Proterozoic to Cretaceous age, four Ocean Drilling Program campaigns including Amazon submarine fan, Quaternary sedimentology of the Labrador Sea, Santa Monica Basin, and the Black Sea region including dynamics of the saline gravity current that enters the low-salinity Black Sea through the Bosphorus Strait.

Inspirational, Easy Read, Instructional Guide About Faith

Wow! Walking by Faith is a power packed guide to encourage anyone who has ever struggled with understanding what God is doing when you are going through hard times. I recommed that anyone of any age read this book. I am going to ask my pastor if we can share it with the youth ministry at our church. I bought copies of the book to share with several of my family and friends. This is definitely one of those books that you read multiple times so that you can make the principles a part of your life.

Professor Brian D. Smith began his career as a research chemist in a pharmaceutical R&D lab and then spent 20 years in technical and marketing roles before becoming an academic, author and adviser. Survival strategies for pharma-industry

With this book Brian Smith demonstrates the audacity to predict the future of the pharmaceutical industry. He first provides an historical overview of the path that has lead the pharmaceutical industry to evolve from the classic apothecary form, to what it is today. Now, the industry is faced with many challenges, such as increasing health care costs while resources devoted to health care decrease. Many factors are described that herald the end of the traditional pharma business model. And why blockbuster thinking is no longer effective in today's environment.

He then identifies several new business models, adapted to the new environment, and demonstrates the innovative thinking needed to create them. Also, the author submits many quotes from leaders of pharmaceutical companies who are currently responsible for innovation to survive the massive changes presented in the healthcare environment today. Not afraid of Darwinian thought, the underlying thinking seems strongly influenced of the premise that those who can adapt to new conditions shall survive.

In essence, the book takes a scholarly approach on how the future of the pharmaceutical industry may be architected. It takes many factors, including social, environmental, and technical factors from our current environment into account, to arrive at its models for the realistic near future. Even more, the book gives tangible, ready-to-use strategies to adapt to the requirements for each individual business model.

A Fallen Heroine and a Hunt for a Missing Child in the Last Year of the Regency

Set in 1820, the last year of the Regency, this is the story of Captain Bladen Read, a soldier who lost his hand fighting for the crown and resigned his commission after the English government’s actions in the Peterloo Massacre. Blade is the bastard son of an earl with little to do when he stumbles upon Caroline (“Caro”) Falkener, a woman he once coveted but never had, who is now a widow with a young son.

The two are thrown together when a mutual friend, Charles (“Charlie”), Marquess of Tonbridge, invites Blade to be his estate steward. Caro and Charlie’s wife, Merry, have founded a charitable home for fallen women in order to rehabilitate them and Blade is assigned as their security. Caro can relate to the women, having never married her son’s father, who she fears will recognize her son.

I liked Bladen. He had some strength of character and apparently had carried a torch for Caro for some time. Most of the story involves a hunt to recover Caro’s abducted young son. But in the end that all comes right. The story was entertaining but, to me, lacked depth. Some of the scenes toward the end were exciting, however. It may be one you have to read in order since it’s book 4 in the series.

A sweetly sensual historical.
Caro made an error in judgement as a very young lady, and became pregnant by a less than honorable peer. After being tossed out by her pious vicar father,and rejected by his parents after his death, she kept her babe and tried to help others who may have had similar experiences.

This is another great book by Ann Lethbridge in the series Rakes In Disgrace. Bladen Read ex captain and soldier remeets Caroline Falkner both are scared from scadulous pasts. Caroline from having an illegimate son out of wedlock. Bladen himself a son of a noble father and woman of ill repute mother. They go through their adventure and finally ended up in love despite the dicates of society. This is a great book.Well written and full of great characters.
