It was okay. Glad I did not spend money for the paperback. It is more like a pamphlet with a dozen or so repetitive themes. not bad though.

Great minds think alike!

In the 1970s, I became moderately fluent in French by listening to French pop music and Radio Canada while studying the grammar in school. (I still speak with a Belgian accent because my favorite singer was Jacques Brel.). When I started trying to use my high school Spanish MANY years later, I started listening to salsa music. I never thought of it particularly as a immersion tactic but rather to teach my ear what the languages sounded like. I discovered that speaking French or Spanish required that I hold my mouth differently than speaking English, and that what I called the "neutral sounds" (uh and ah in English, what we say when we're thinking what to say) were different.
Here's a book by a delightful young woman who has made the same discoveries and with MUCH more success than I had. She adds many more suggestions on how to accelerate second (third, fourth, tenth) language acquisition.

I have to agree with what the other reviews in the one and two star categories are saying. I didn't bother finishing this. There is nothing in here that you i didn't know already. i'm not sure this book was something that needed to be written.
